This is a new old stock unfitted piece of forend wood for a Lefever Nitro Special. This is what they looked like off the factory profiling machines at ithaca. Ready for hand fitting and finishing. Based on the measurement, it would work best for 16/20g guns. The width measurement at the rear is 1.42”. Sold as is.

The Ithaca built Lefever A-Grade was a short lived (1934 to 1938) slightly dressed up version of Ithaca's Lefever Nitro Special (1921 to 1947).
The Nitro Special was introduced in 12-, 16-, and 20-gauges. In 1926, a .410-bore version was added to the line. Your gun's serial number is credited to 1925, so your gun would be in the first batch of .410-bores they built to introduce in 1926.
