Nest Hello Replacement Chime Connector. I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I have a Nest Hello Doorbell (wired) that stopped working the other day. It was buzzing at the chime, and eventually went entirely dead. I replaced the wall transformer, and am getting 16v out, and 16v at the chime, but only 7-9v on the other side of the system.There is 1 red & 1 white wire coming from the transformer (16VAC-10VA output), 1 red & 1 white at the doorbell, but 2 red & 2 white wires at the chime. Without the puck, the door chime is wired as pictured (and worked before installing the Hello).The easier solution for me was to bypass the electronic chime completely and connect a traditional door bell chime, which was able to be easily connected to the Hello. For anyone else with the Nutone LA-174WH, this doorbell chime fit perfectly in the recessed box inside the wall without any modifications. I removed the side door for now. The chime rings constantly with the puck between T1 and F. Even if I remove the puck and connect the Nest, it still rings over and over.

The chime connector is a capacitor that retains a charge so when the doorbell button is pressed, the Nest Hello tells the connector to release its charge to cause the chime to ring. It does that so the Nest Hello can maintain sufficient voltage for itself so it doesn't turn off due to a momentary drop if it were to power the chime itself.
